True North now offers a thermal imaging inspection as part of the inspection package! This is an exciting new business move for us! Our goal is to provide high quality inspections at an affordable price using the latest inspection devices. This cameral is able to read temperature variations within the structure and is ultra sensative. It can detect conditions that may be present but not visible with the naked eye during the process of a standard home inspection. The camera is known to detected missing insulation, heat loss, plumbing leaks, signs of moisture or mildew and much more! The Camera is commonly used in performing energy audits. We do not offer energy audits at this time, rather
this tool is used to bring further clarity to conditions found during the inspection within the ASHI standards of practice.

We found a leaky wax seal around a toilet, notice the discoloration on the left side:

Roof leak detected in an unheated outdoor shed (28 degrees outside):

We are also able to do a 'stand alone' thermal image inspection if you so choose. The fees are:

$199- up to 2,500 SF
$249- over 2,500 SF
Commercial or over 3,500 SF (call for quote)

A stand alone thermal inspection may assist in answering questions prior to destroying a wall or hiring a contractor. We have included a SAMPLE REPORT to view.  Many questions can often be answered when using this device. Prior to commencing the inspection a work
order agreement must be signed. To view please click the link or one will be presented by the inspector at the property. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a thorough, competent, quality home inspection!
